European Day of Parks – Life in and along water

The first European national parks – altogether nine – were established on 24 May 1909. As an initiative of the EUROPARC Federation, the European Day of Parks have been celebrated every year on 24 May since 1999. The Balaton-felvidéki National Park Directorate invites you on this occasion for a pleasant walk along the Pele Circuit.

A new visitor centre at Kis-Balaton to be built with an investment of almost one billion HUF

Almost one billion HUF will be spent on building a new a visitor centre at Kis-Balaton (one of the regions of Balaton-felvidéki National Park), being the largest investment of the Balaton-felvidéki National Park Directorate so far. The memorial site of István Fekete novelist will be also renewed in Fenékpuszta.
